One of the most useful browsers out there is Google Chrome, it’s fast and reliable. Yes, I do use this browser too and encountered a couple of issues. Most often than not, the fix is very simple and would only take a minute or two.

Let’s dive into the most basic fix:

1: Clear data, cookies, and cache

If you can still launch or open your Chrome browser, but unable to get it to fully functional. The program’s acting weird and it closes itself, can’t see the correct content on the web.

Let’s apply this fix:

1. Please open your Chrome

2. Use shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + Del (Backup your important data first such as bookmarks, and accounts)

3. Clear your Chrome browsing data, like the browsing history, the cache and the cookies

2: Run your Chrome as Administrator

Yes, like other programs, you might need to run the program as Administrator for it to run perfectly.

1. Please go to your desktop and find Chrome icon

2. Right-click Chrome

3. Select Run as Administrator

4. Click Yes when prompted

5. Now, use Chrome and see if that fixes the issue

3: Check for updates

Updating your Chrome does help a lot in terms of fixing minor and major bugs, including performance issues.

1. Please open your Chrome

2. Click the three dots(Customize) or Settings button

3. Select Help

4. Click the About Google Chrome tab

5. Chrome will look for any available updates and will install itself

4: Reinstall Google Chrome

If the issue persists, you might need to get the latest version of the program.

1. Please remove the current version of Chrome

5: Run Compatibility Mode
