If you’ve landed on this post, it’s very likely you love beauty as much as we do, so how about getting to know us all a little better? And when we say us, we mean we’re introducing you to the whole team behind Latest in Beauty, because we’re a pretty fab bunch! (if we do say so ourselves) So much work and dedication goes into bringing you guys the best selection of products to try each month, and behind the scenes, our team works very hard to source beauty treats that we know you will all love. So, if you want to delve a bit deeper into LiB and find out who we are, read on. We’re talking deep and personal here guys, it’s riveting stuff. Well, kinda. Today we’re introducing you to our Head of Ecommerce, Emma.

Where are you from?
A leafy, pretty town in West Yorkshire called Ilkley, although I moved to London at 18 and I’m a Londoner at heart.

What’s your role at LiB?
I’m Head of Ecommerce and the role is really broad: it varies from working on the sales strategy and marketing calendar to signing off campaign assets and planning blogger events.  My team and I look after all the marketing channels: email, affiliate, paid search, social media, PR, advertising, branding, photography, and make sure the site’s up-to-date.  We’re a busy bunch.

What’s on your desk?
Plants, candles, hand creams, vitamins, perfumes, lip balms, and a stash of chocolate raisins for that 4pm slump.

Describe yourself in three emojis
???✈️
I’m a blogger so always twirling in dresses for outfit photos, I’m an oenophile with an expensive penchant for Champagne (life’s too short for bad wine, right?), and I love travelling.

Your colleagues would describe you as…
“A meticulous, plant-obsessed, force to be reckoned with”.  Oh God, I sound terrible!

What are you most likely to have for lunch?
Sushi.  I love anything raw – sashimi, ceviche, jamon, steak tartare, oysters: you name it – Japanese is my favourite food and I can’t wait to go to Japan next spring and eat my bodyweight in the stuff.  Now I want sushi…

Your go-to makeup look is…
Bold brows, statement lips, black eyeliner, lots of mascara.  I don’t believe in the “eyes or lips” rule: more is more.

Any beauty sins?
Doing my makeup in public – my mum has always hated it because it’s “just not done”, but I’m all about efficiency and utilising my time!

Office pet peeve?
Not having enough natural light or fresh air.  Fortunately, in our shiny new office, we have plenty of both.

Name 3 favourite BYOB products (Build Your Own Box, FYI)

Emma\'s products

Smith & Cult The Shining Lip Lacquer – The Lovers – I’ve been liking super shiny lips lately, and this cute mini lipgloss in watermelon pink is made with coconut essence so leaves lips feeling moisturised and glossy.
Lord & Berry SMUDGEPROOF Eye liner – This creamy black eyeliner has serious sticking power – I can cycle in the rain and it still won’t have budged.
The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream – A must for keeping dry winter skin at bay, this handbag-friendly rich hand cream smells lovely, and leaves your hands feeling soft and nourished.
