What is a driver?
Drivers are a set of instructions that allow devices on your PC to communicate effectively with your operating system — Windows, in this case. Drivers act as a sort of translation or go-between to keep things running more smoothly in your PC. Updating drivers to their latest versions is important for speed, stability and security reasons, and graphics drivers are especially important to keep current.
