Black Friday and Cyber Monday are now over, but the special offers go on with a new deal day devoted to tourists: Travel Tuesday. This post rounds up the best discounts for Disney destinations on park tickets, airfare, hotels, and more that you can find on November 28, 2023.
For starters, we did not “make up” Travel Tuesday. Sure, some marketer made it up…but not us. It’s a thing, or they’re trying to make it one, at least. Travel Tuesday is the latest in a long line of deal ‘holidays’ added to the calendar as the Black Friday sale ‘season’ stretches from October or December, or so it seems. Just as Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. are prolonging Black Friday for a reason–to sell more stuff and clear out inventory as consumers have become more cautious about spending–so too does Travel Tuesday exist for a reason.
Historically, today starts one of the slowest times of the year for both the booking of trips and actual travel. We’ve commented on the post-Thanksgiving lull for Walt Disney World and Disneyland countless times, but it actually extends to most destinations and also new reservations for future travel. While regular readers of a site like this might have trips through 2025 and beyond already mapped out, normal people won’t really start planning and booking their 2024 vacations in earnest until late December into mid-January 2024.
So in short, hotels and airlines are trying to will Travel Tuesday into existence as a way to fill unsold rooms and seats in the near-term, and juice bookings for early 2024 so numbers look good during the next quarterly earnings report. While Disney itself does not participate in Travel Tuesday (watch that change if it actually does become a thing!), there are a number of third party sellers relevant to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, the international parks, and beyond that do.
Unlike the Black Friday and Cyber Monday roundups, we do not receive commission for any of the hotels or airlines on this list so your purchases do not support the site. As always, that doesn’t impact our recommendations or lack thereof. I mostly do this stuff ‘for the love of the game.’ Since I stayed up late last night looking for travel deals and was back up early this morning doing the same, I want to put that time I’ve spent to good use. To that end, hopefully some of you can benefit from some of the deals here!
Anyway, on with the list of the best Travel Tuesday Deals for Disney Destinations and beyond…
Southwest Airlines – Take 30% off base fares to a limited number of destinations and dates with promotion code CYBER30 through November 30, 2023. Travel domestically from January 9 to March 6, 2024 and on select international flights from January 9 to May 22, 2024. Blockout dates, restrictions and exclusions apply. Seats and days limited. Discount is applied before government taxes and fees.
We couldn’t find anything that worked for us and was a better rate than pre-sale, but perhaps you’ll have better luck. As with every travel deal, it’s likely highly dependent on departure and arrival airports and dates.
Alaska Airlines – One-way flights are as low as $39 through November 29, 2023. The Cyber Monday/Travel Tuesday discounts are valid for flights between January 8 and March 9, 2024. Many flights within the West Coast are available at the cheapest price, meaning that if you want to go from Las Vegas or San Francisco to Disneyland, that could cost you $39. Cross-country routes are, unsurprisingly, more expensive.
JetBlue – Deals until November 29, 2023 so long as you book a flight + hotel or cruise bundle. We’re not fans of doing this, but to each their own. Travel now through October 2024. Here are the savings:
- $50 off $1,000+ with code UNWRAP50
- $200 off $3,000+ with code UNWRAP200
- $400 off $5,000+ with code UNWRAP400
- $750 off $8,000+ with code UNWRAP75
Delta – Now through November 29, Delta is offering discounted premium cabin tickets to destinations around the world — plus earn 2x miles as a SkyMiles member. This amounts to around 20-25% off fares on Delta One, Delta Premium Select, and Comfort+ to select destinations for travel periods between December 10, 2023 and March 18, 2024. Date ranges vary by city.
Frontier – Discount Den members can save 100% off base fares and non-members save 75% off base fares for travel Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturdays with promo code DEALS. Buy by 11/28/23. Fly by 3/6/24. Valid for travel Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Saturdays. Blackout dates apply. Travel to Orlando, FL valid Sundays – Wednesday; Travel from Orlando, FL valid Tuesdays – Fridays. Discount applies to base fare only, not to government taxes and fees or carrier-imposed fees. Round trip purchase is required.
Discount Den membership required for Discount Den fares. 7 day advance purchase required. I’m not a Discount Den member, so I can’t speak to the quality (or lack thereof) of this deal.
Singapore Air – One of the absolute best airlines in the world is offering roundtrip flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle, as well as New York and Houston to a variety of cities in Asia, including Tokyo. That’s really the big one…the only destination about which we care…and maybe the entire reason this post exists, as we ourselves try to do mental gymnastics to justify booking a trip to Tokyo Disney Resort for the opening of Fantasy Springs.
Roundtrip airfare starts at $599, with the following eligible travel dates and blockout windows:
- Outbound Travel Period: 01 February 2024 – 01 June 2024 and 01 July 2024 – 31 October 2024
- Inbound Blackout Period: 02 July 2024 – 31 July 2024
Again, Singapore Air is a world-class airline, routinely ranked in the top 3 worldwide. Our experiences with Singapore Air have been nothing but exceptional and the cabins are incredible. Singapore Air is arguably better than the best Japanese carriers, which is saying something, as those are already head and shoulders above the legacy U.S. carriers (including Delta).
As a general rule, international airlines are superior to U.S. ones, with the obvious (and major) exception of budget international carriers. Suffice to say, $599 RT for Los Angeles to Tokyo is a bargain on Singapore Air!
Hotels.com – As a OneKey member (the free membership program for Expedia and Hotels.com), you can save on city getaways, beach weekends, and family trips. Now get 30% off or more with Member Prices on select hotels. Book by November 29, 2023, and travel by December 31, 2024.
Marriott – Bonvoy members can take 20% off on Marriott Bonvoy stays (non-members save 15%) in over 6,500 hotels around the world with promo code QRI. This offer is valid on stays through January 15, 2024. 5-day advance booking required–pre-paid, non-refundable rate, must be booked by November 28.
IHG – If you’re not a member of IHG One Rewards, start by joining that program for free to access the Cyber Week/Travel Tuesday deals. Download sign into the IHG app for 500 bonus points. Login and book in the IHG app to save 20% stays through April 30, 2024. Other offers are also available–browse the app to see it all.
Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach – Enjoy exclusive savings during the limited time Cyber Week Sale at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point, California. Unlock up to 50% off best available rates when you book by November 30, 2023. Stay through May 24, 2024.
We used to walk past this hotel every single night on our way to the beach (well technically, past its golf course–but same idea). It’s a bit of a long drive to and from Disneyland, but if you’re looking for a Southern California vacation that’s one part beach and one part Disney, this is a great option.
WallyPark – We’re big WallyPark…I wouldn’t say fans…but we’ve used it a lot. Use promo code BELLS23 for up to 35% off airport parking at ATL, DEN, JAX, MCO, PHL, SAN, SEA, and LAX. Valid on stays two days or longer with your reservation check-in starting on or before 1/31/24 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Offer not valid with other discounts, previous reservations or at “drive-up”. Discounted rates and promotions do not apply to days stayed beyond your reservation. Reservations must be modified or canceled within 4 hours of start time. Rates subject to change without notice. WallyPark’s rates and fees are charged on a daily basis. Taxes and/or fees may apply.
Walt Disney World Ticket Deals – For Cyber Week 2023, you can save up to $88 per ticket to Walt Disney World via Get Away Today. As always, the biggest savings are on the longer duration tickets with Park Hopper and other add-ons. If you’re looking at shorter duration tickets, the savings will be more modest.
Many of these are ‘Extra Day Free’ on longer duration tickets, which is part of why the savings are so high! (The above discount code won’t be valid on Black Friday deals–but you’re better off with this sale than the coupon, anyway.) You can also bundle and save with SeaWorld and Universal Orlando tickets, the latter of which have 2 days free with their current ticket promo.
Although it has absolutely nothing to do with Cyber Week/Travel Tuesday, there’s also the Discounted Florida Resident Holiday Magic Ticket. This offers Floridians the opportunity to buy a 4-day ticket for just $59 per day, plus tax–for a total price of $235 plus tax. Discounted 2-3 day tickets are also available.
This ticket deal is valid through December 22, 2023 and is valid on Monday through Friday only. All adults will need to show proof of Florida residency at park entrance. Both a theme park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system and valid theme park admission for the same park on the same date are required.
Disneyland Ticket Deals – Through November 29, 2023, you can take advantage of the popular Adults at Kids’ Prices Disneyland ticket promo, which is valid on all 3-day and longer Disneyland tickets. All Disneyland tickets are valid for travel now through December 31, 2025. The additional upside to this if you aren’t traveling soon is that you can lock-in current prices and avoid future price increases that will likely occur in 2024 or beyond.
To save even more, combine your tickets with any of their Extra Night Free Hotel deals. If you’re not sure when you’ll be going yet, you can always purchase discount Disneyland tickets now (multiday pricing is not date-based, the date they ask is just for reminders–set some random date if you don’t have firm travel plans yet) and add a hotel deal later.
In addition to this, there’s also the Kids’ Ticket Discount at Disneyland for 2024. That deal is even better (well, if you have kids and eligible travel dates), offering admission to children ages 3 to 9 for only $50 per day during visit dates from January 8 through March 10, 2024. This is a shockingly good deal, amounting to a discount of around $150 to $200 on multi-day tickets!
To the best of my recollection, that’s the best pricing on tickets in several years. Of course, it only applies to children’s tickets and is for a three-month stretch, but still. For those wondering, you can pair both of these two discounts together, buying kids’ tickets for $50/day and Adults at Kids’ Prices tickets–just be aware that the latter is based on normal pricing and not the promo.
Suffice to say, this is an exceptional deal on Disneyland tickets if it works for your family. We’d also add that this same stretch of dates in Winter and Spring 2024 ranks highly on our Cheapest Times to Do Disneyland, which also accounts for hotels and more. So you could do an inexpensive (by Disneyland standards) trip during these travel dates!
There are certainly more deals on travel–I’ve left off a bunch of destination-specific airlines and ultra low-cost carriers–such as Spirit, Aer Lingus, French Bee, Play, Breeze, Qatar Airways, Air New Zealand, and more–that have reduced fares within certain regions or between the United States and Asia. But some of those are definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re going to be traveling within Europe or departing from a major U.S. coastal city (e.g. Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York) to an international destination.
Moreover, there are still a ton of great deals on travel products. Even though Cyber Monday is over, many of the 33 Best Cyber Sales on Travel Gear & Gadgets are still live as part of an ongoing Cyber “Week” Sale. So be sure to check out the Amazon Cyber Week Sale homepage. We recommend browsing for yourself a bit, and checking back often, as new deals are regularly appearing–and disappearing. Just be mindful of the fact that some of these offers are time-sensitive, so you don’t want to spend too much time procrastinating and end up losing out!
