Amazon Prime Day 2024 is here with great discounts on Disney toys, books, games, LEGOs, travel gadgets, and more! This rounds up the best deals for your vacations to Walt Disney World and beyond, plus products that will make great gifts for yourself or others.
Prime Day is basically Amazon’s Black Friday or Christmas in July sale. It certainly makes sense for the retail behemoth to create its own money-saving holiday, as Amazon is already the single-biggest source of deals in November and December. The last few years we’ve spent about the same amount during Amazon Prime Days as we have on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Amazon’s Prime Day is once again a multi-day sale this year, running from July 16-17, 2024. If you want a broad selection of the current deals, check out Amazon’s Spotlight Prime Day Deals page for the biggest savings and most popular deals. Even then, the options can be overwhelming, as there are literally tens of thousands of items on sale for Prime Day.
This post aggregates Amazon’s best Prime Day deals likely to be of interest to Disney fans and travelers. Some items are Disney-specific, others are travel gadgets that are not exclusively Disney-related. The former are fun items for collectors, parents, people doing gift shopping, and so on. The latter are practical items that would be useful for Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacations.
As with any of these promotional event sales, some “special offers” are great and some are…not so special. We’ve combed through the various deals and are sharing only those we deem good. We receive a small commission from Amazon for your purchases, so buying through these links helps support the site. However, neither the price you pay nor our recommendations (or lack thereof) are impacted by that.
We’ve purchased these items ourselves, have friends who recommend them, or are debating the purchase. It should be clear from each item’s description how we feel about a particular product. On with the list of the Best Amazon Prime Day Deals for 2024…
Anker Nano Portable Charger (Select Colors) – My new favorite charger as of this year. The big selling point is the built-in Lightning connector for iPhones, meaning that you don’t need to carry additional cords. Select colors are 31% off for Prime Day. There’s also a USB-C version for those of you with iPhone 15 or non-iPhones.
Anker Zolo 10,000mAh 30W Portable Charger with Built-in USB-C Cable for Travel – This charger was just released in the last couple of weeks, and it is–without a doubt–the charger we’d buy if we had the iPhone 15 or Samsung phones–or anything with a USB-C connector instead of the Lightning connector. Everything about this looks perfect to us, from the built in cable to the size and speed. And the price is certainly right, too! Also available in 20k capacity.
Anker 3-in-1 Power Bank USB C Charger Block – This is another one we don’t own (yet) that was just release in 2024. As the name suggests, this is a portable battery that doubles as a power bank with two USB-C ports. That’s the issue for us (again) as it’s better for iPhone 15 (and future) or non-Apple devices.
Anker Magnetic Power Bank 10,000mAh Wireless Charger – The key difference between this and other chargers is that this is wireless. Even though I just bought the built-in pocket charger above, I’m on the fence about getting this, too. If I have to do more Lightning Lane field testing once pre-booking finally arrives, I’ll definitely need the higher capacity of this one!
Anker Slimline Phone Charger 10,000mAh Battery (USB-C) — This one has great capacity and the fastest quick-charging capabilities. It’s the charger we use for the two of us on days when the Nano won’t cut it.
Anker 24,000mAh Power Bank 3-Port Portable Charger with 140W Output – For those who really go hard playing the Lightning Lane refresh game. I’ve been wanting one of these for travel for a while, and this price (47% off) and feature combo might be what finally gets me off the fence. (With that said, I’m a blogger/photographer, so my “needs” are very atypical!)
Anker 3-Port Charging Block – This is a niche product, but it’s another game-changer for me. This Anker 3-port block charges my Nikon mirrorless camera, laptop, and phone simultaneously and the device is smaller than my Macbook charger by itself. It’ll be overkill for a lot of people, but it’s absolutely perfect for me!
Anker 47W Nano 3 USB-C Charger – This is what Sarah uses, and it’s absolutely perfect for her–or the average person. It’ll charge your devices faster than the standard charger (and lightyears quicker than in-wall ports at WDW hotels), and it’s 25% off for Prime Day.
Anker Outlet Extender – If you don’t need something that advanced (really only necessary for high-end cameras or laptops), this is a much less expensive alternative that also gives you added outlets. I don’t think extra outlets are necessary for Walt Disney World hotels, but you’ll presumably use this elsewhere. We like it for older hotels where outlets are more scarce.
Anker 4-Port USB Phone Charger – Same idea, but all USB. As you’ve probably gathered by now, Anker products are featured as part of Amazon’s Prime Day Sale.
Apple AirPods Pro – These are the headphones I use. At 32% off, the discount is excellent by Apple standards–this is cheaper than they were last year for Black Friday!
Crocs Men’s LiteRide 360 Pacer Sneaker – Only available in select sizes and colors at 38% off, but worth checking out. In case you missed it, they were the centerpiece of our list of the Best Shoes for Walt Disney World. They offer a great balance of breathability, comfort, and appropriateness for Florida weather (read: rain).
Save Up to 60% on Crocs – Other styles of Crocs are up to 60% off–you can browse the options here. All of the other styles are much uglier than the LiteRide.
Brooks Glycerin – My favorite regular shoes for logging 20,000 steps per day for a week at Walt Disney World. Just the right balance of plushness and responsiveness. I think these are as good as the Hoka cushioning about which everyone raves and better than On Clouds. And at 38% off, you won’t find a better deal on these top tier running shoes.
20% Off Select Gift Cards – Take up to 20% off or 20% back in credit when you click ‘redeem’ or apply the corresponding promo code at checkout. (You’ll see a message confirming the savings.) While this does not apply to Disney gift cards, there are at least a dozen different restaurants and other services/stores that could be relevant to a Disney trip.
Loungefly The Mandalorian Baby Yoda Backpack – Everyone loves Baby Yoda (or Grogu, if you’re a dork) and this backpack is 60% off for Prime Day. Are Loungefly bags ever this cheap?!
Loungefly Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Kawaii Backpack – A cute (that’s what kawaii means) backpack with the GotG characters that’s 51% off for Prime Day.
Loungefly Loki Backpack – Everyone also loves Loki, and this very cool (IMO) backpack is a decent deal at 20% off.
Loungefly Gingerbread Mickey Mouse Wallet – Not that my opinion matters since I’m not the target audience, but I think this is the best of the bunch. Never understood why more people don’t buy Christmas stuff in the off-season…the holiday happens again every year!
More Loungefly Prime Day Deals – Lots of other Loungefly products on sale, including several more Disney items…some of which are kinda ugly. There’s even a creepy Nightmare Before Christmas bag that I first thought was Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
Knockoff Loungefly Bag – Calling a spade a spade, this is basically a bootleg Loungefly bag. Now, I am definitely NOT the target audience for such a product, but as someone who doesn’t “get” how on earth Loungeflys are so expensive, I think this is a far, far superior option!
Sukeen Cooling Towel 4-Pack – The cooling system on these towels uses moisture from the towel to draw the sweat away from your skin to keep you cool. We still prefer the Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad, but some Walt Disney World fans prefer these.
Brita Filter Water Bottles – Florida water tastes awful straight from the tap, so it’s key to get a bottle with a filter. This is our second-favorite option–the cheaper bottle that I carry since I’ve lost one of the more expensive ones. It’s a great option, and with more and more bottle refilling stations around the parks, far more efficient than going up to counter service restaurants requesting cups of ice water.
Personal Neck Fan – We bought this little device during Prime Day, and it’s shockingly effective. It’s like that refreshing feeling you get when walking past an open doorway of an air-conditioned building. It’s not perfect, but it’s a really fantastic idea, and is a breath of fresh air during hot and humid days in Florida (which is ~10 months of the year).
Handheld Portable Small Fan (USB Chargeable) – If you don’t want to be quite as dorky with the neck fan and don’t want to wear a cooling towel, this classic handheld fan is the more traditional option for keeping cool.
Gonex Packable Backpack — Another excellent innovation from the fine folks at Gonex…a brand I’ve literally never heard of outside the ‘packable’ space. This takes up minimal room in your suitcase and more importantly is super lightweight. That minimizes the amount of back-sweat you’ll have to endure from the Florida heat and humidity. Works as a lightweight diaper bag (ask how I know), too!
Repel Travel Umbrella – This is windproof, durable, and compact. You may not think a windproof umbrella is necessary for Walt Disney World, but during storm season, it absolutely is. HIGHLY recommended at 20% off.
TravelPro Luggage – There are a variety of suitcases from TravelPro discounted by 28% to 32% off for the Prime Day. Objectively speaking, there are better luggage deals. However, this is far and away our favorite brand–and the one preferred by pilots and flight attendants. We haven’t found anything better at any price point (definitely not lower, but not higher either), and if you travel a decent amount, you’ll be able to tell the difference.
Gonex Compression Packing Cubes – They key here is that these are compression packing cubes, which normally cost more and will save you even more space when packing. If you need the suitcase space, we recommend this set over the one below. This is a Lightning Deal, so it could be gone by the time you see it!
Gonex Compression Cubes – Another great Gonex deal for Prime (arguably better than the above depending upon your needs) that’s even sweeter once you clip the coupon on the product page!
Packing Cube Sets (Multiple Sizes) – Another staple of our packing list, we are fans of packing cubes and these are a solid deal at 48% off. There are a LOT of packing cubes on sale, so you might want to browse the results for “packing cubes” on the Prime Day page and see which sizes/colors/etc. best suit you.)
Belkin Magnetic Portable Wireless Charger Pad w/ Kickstand – Watch something on your phone while flying and charge the device at the same time. Other than that, this magnetic charger just seems convenient and easy.
LÍLLÉbaby Complete Airflow Baby Carrier – One of the most popular types of baby carrier brands is on sale. This is one of the many baby carriers we own. It’s a good one–our third favorite.
Ergobaby Omni Breeze Baby Carrier – Our second-favorite baby carrier, also on sale for Prime Day in a couple of colors. (Note that other Ergobaby models are on sale at deeper discounts–we have no experience with those, but specifically recommend this one.)
BabyBjörn New Baby Carrier One Air – Our favorite baby carrier, on sale for Prime Day in two colors. The black one is a Lightning Deal, but I’d probably pay the extra $10 for the lighter one.
Momcozy Hip Seat – Not something I’d necessarily recommend for travel, but good around the house and a great deal for Prime Day.
Mickey Mouse 3D Coffee Mug – Not your ordinary coffee mugs. Peek inside and discover Mickey’s ears shaping your coffee in optical 3D. These coffee cups are 47% off for Prime Day!
Minnie Mouse Earrings – Cute food-themed Minnie Mouse earrings, and a great deal at 50% off!
Body Glide – The best way to combat chaffing. Unless you normally walk 10+ miles per day at home over the course of several consecutive days, this is a very real problem that many people will unexpectedly experience. The 1.5 oz size is on sale for Prime Day!
Disney Books
A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth – Our favorite Walt Disney World coffee table book ever. In style, structure, and quality, this is unrivaled. Truly the best thing to come out of the 50th Anniversary celebration, this covers everything from development to the evolution of Walt Disney World, with tons of rare photos and concept art. You can read our full review if you want, but the bottom line is that this is the best book about Walt Disney World.
Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World – This is a cookbook, with recipes for iconic dishes like the Grey Stuff, Tonga Toast, Kungaloosh, Ronto Wrap, Hollywood Brown Derby Grapefruit Cake, and Le Cellier Steakhouse Cheese Soup. However, it’s also so much more. You’ll also find rare restaurant concept art, history (my favorite is “Walt Loved Fried Chicken”), and old menu scans.
Holiday Magic at the Disney Parks: Celebrations Around the World — This is an incredible deep dive into the holidays (mostly Christmas and Halloween, but also Easter and other seasonal events) with great photos, detailed information, and rich history. If you love the seasonal events, this is an absolute must-own.
Poster Art of the Disney Parks, Second Edition – This new for Christmas 2022 title is an expanded and updated edition of the beloved book that ranks highly in our library. The second edition renders the first obsolete, as the 85+ new posters and behind-the-scenes development info nearly doubles the book in length. It’s worth it for all of the awesome new posters made for EPCOT’s reimagining alone.
The Walt Disney Film Archives. The Animated Movies 1921—1968 – Another great TASCHEN title, for an unbeatable price.
100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime: Magical Experiences From Around the World – A nice aspirational travel book that’s Disneyfied. Put one of these on your coffee table before a gathering, and travel will become the topic of conversation.
Disney Games
Haunted Mansion: Call of The Spirits Board Game – I’m a total sucker for cheesy and cheeky board games, as well as Walt Disney World board games. This is the perfect intersection of those interests. It’s a fairly strategic game that’s easy enough for kids but also deep enough for adults. (Both versions are on sale.)
Villainous Disney Strategy Board Game – This game by Ravensburger has received rave reviews and won the prestigious ‘Game of the Year’ Award at the TOTY Awards. It’s made our past deal lists with superior savings, but is on sale again for Prime Day.
Disney Eye Found It Card Game — The standard board game version of the beloved game—30% off via a Lightning Deal, which should last a while since this game is perpetually discounted, it seems.
Return of the Headless Horseman Game – The ghost story from Disney’s animated classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in this exciting, family board game! Show your support for the grassroots movement to bring back the waffle sandwiches to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments at Magic Kingdom by buying this game at 53% off!
Funko Disney It’s a Small World Game – It’s the happiest cruise that ever sailed! Not the cheapest it’s ever been, but not bad.
Something Wild! Mickey & Friends Character Card Game — Another fast-paced and easy-to-learn family card game featuring beloved Disney characters and Pop! pocket figures.
Sorry! Board Game: Disney Villains Edition – This family game combines classic Sorry gameplay with a wickedly fun Disney Villains inspired board, Spell cards, and 16 Villain pawns.
Disney Toys
Disney Junior Minnie Mouse Bowdazzling Dress-Up Trunk – As the name suggests, it’s a trunk of adorable Minnie Mouse dresses. Steal of a deal at only $11.
Mattel Disney Princess Doll House Ultimate Castle (4 ft Tall) – This has been on sale at various times over the last year and I’ve debated buying it. Glad I didn’t, as we’ve already acquired so much baby stuff that I cannot fathom storing something this size for a few years. Still could be a good deal for you.
Moana Doll & Boat – Set includes a posable Moana doll, adorable Heihei the rooster and Pua the pig figures, and her outrigger boat that really floats! 47% off for Prime Day.
Bluey Bedding – If your kids love Bluey on Disney+ (who doesn’t?), then this bedding set at 38% off for Prime Day is a great buy!
Talking Baby Yoda Character – This talking Baby Yoda figure makes 10 different vocalizations and is described by Hasbro as “cuddly.” It’s styled after the Grogu character from the Disney+ series, with an authentic appearance.
Baby Yoda Stuffed Character – Similar idea here. Not exactly a plush, this 11-inch Grogu toy has a soft body, plus a sturdy base filled with beans, perfect for cuddling or display as a collectible. Winner of a Toy of the Year Award.
LEGO Disney and Pixar ‘Up’ House for Disney 100 – This 598-piece LEGO Disney toy set includes a partial house built with balloons, different rooms and functions, plus Carl Fredricksen and Russell LEGO minifigures, and a Dug LEGO dog figure for dog lovers. According to LEGO, the set is “made for unlimited adventures on land or floating through the clouds.”
LEGO Disney Wish Asha’s Cottage – Lots of Wish and Little Mermaid (live action) toys are on sale, including LEGO sets. Regardless of the movie’s quality, this looks fun.
LEGO Marvel Nano Gauntlet with Infinity Stones – LEGO brick-built recreation of the Iron Man Nano Gauntlet including 6 Infinity Stones, bringing to life the Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame film. Perfect for your office at work–sends a message to colleagues.
LEGO Madrigal House from Encanto – Not as good of a deal as the Wish or Little Mermaid LEGOs, but this might be a set your kids want more. A good deal at 30% off.
LEGO Disney Princess Enchanted Journey Building Set – I don’t remember hot air balloon travel being featured in any Disney princess story…but perhaps it should be.
LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter Toy Set – Features a LEGO brick-built version of Luke Skywalker’s iconic toy X-wing Fighter to recreate the legendary action-packed scenes from the Star Wars original trilogy movies.
