Full Food Booth Menus for 2024 EPCOT Festival of Arts & Figment News!

Walt Disney World has released food booth menus for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, our favorite event of the year! This post previews new & returning savory snacks and decadent desserts, along with a look at the awesome Figment fun that’ll be returning or debuting during Artful EPCOT.

For starters, the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts runs from January 12 through February 19, 2024, making it about on par with Festival of the Holidays and significantly shorter than Flower & Garden or Food & Wine–by a measure of months. The Food Studios are all located throughout the World Showcase pavilions and portions of the new neighborhoods of Future World, just like the Holiday Kitchens and Global Marketplaces before them.

Also akin to its Christmas-time counterpart, the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts offers a smaller slate of food booths than the the park’s (supposedly) “flagship” fall foodie event. That’s actually a good thing for guests. In fact, everything about the 2024 EPCOT Festival of Arts is good for guests–that’s why it is, again, the best event of the year at EPCOT.

The decreased emphasis on the culinary arts allows other things to shine during the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts. As we’ve pointed out time and time again, food is the least important element of the festival. We want to underscore this for newcomers: buying food is not essential to enjoying the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Sure, food is great and snacking around these booths is fun. But it’s easy to drop a pretty penny and still be hungry.

Moreover, there’s so much substance to this event beyond food…and it’s totally FREE! You can watch artists create art right in front of you, peruse booths and galleries, attend free seminars, participate in the creation of art, and so much more. Festival of the Arts is great in spite of the food, not because of it. If you’re interested in knowing what not to miss in terms of non-food offerings, read our Guide to the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.

The more subtle reason why it’s good that cuisine is not cornerstone to Festival of the Arts is because it relieves pressure on the Food Studios and, counterintuitive as this may sound, results in even better food. Because fewer people are there for food, lines are shorter and there’s less demand, so the booth menus can be more ambitious and artful with their presentation, rather than having to churn through tons of guests per hour.

Paradoxically, Food & Wine Festival is the least foodie-oriented festival because it’s like event catering–efficiency and ease are paramount to get through backlogs of guests. By contrast, Festival of the Arts has far less pressure so it can be far better. You’ll see dozens of items on the menus and food photos below that have beautiful presentation and exceptional attention to detail. The same ambitious dishes simply wouldn’t be possible during the more popular Food & Wine Festival.

On that note, let’s take a look at the food & drink menus for the 15 Food Studios that showcase the best in culinary art, blending colorful ingredients, unique cooking techniques, and imaginative presentations to create edible masterpieces…

Finally, guess who’s back? FIGMENT’S BAAAACK. The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts is getting even more imaginative, with Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey: Art, Food, and Little Sparks of Magic returning for a second year.

Not only that, but you can bring home Figment with the brand-new Journey into Imagination Pavilion Popcorn Bucket. This limited-edition bucket features Figment inside on a rainbow diving into rainbow colored popcorn. It follows up on two consecutive years of the Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket, which last year had a EPCOT 40th Anniversary strap.

The first year of this Figment popcorn bucket, Festival of the Arts was dominated by headlines that EPCOT’s Longest Line Is For Figment Popcorn Buckets. It took a while, but Walt Disney World eventually solved that problem by streamlining the process with Mobile Order.

I’ll be honest: I’m not the biggest fan of popcorn buckets. You might’ve gathered as much by various comments over the years. But I’m a diehard Figment fan and always love seeing the character get love, so I was really happy with the success of the first bucket. With that said, I absolutely adore this Imagination Pavilion Popcorn Bucket.

Obviously it’s still early and I haven’t seen this in person, but I like this more than the previous Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket. What pushes this over the top for me is that it leans into being a popcorn bucket, rather than just being a plastic thing that happens to hold popcorn (if that makes sense).

Everything about the design is really clever, from using the clear glass pyramids to showcase the rainbow popcorn inside to Figment diving into the popcorn like it’s a ball pit at McDonald’s (they don’t still have those–but they did in my day!). This is just top-notch through and through, with creativity truly befitting Figment. I hope it’s as awesome in person as it looks in the stock photo. Huge kudos to the Disney Design team on this!
